Christ the Lord Is Risen Today for Piano, Organ, and Congregation
This arrangement of “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today” adds a crowning touch to any Easter program and gives the congregation a special opportunity to participate. While singing their regular parts directly from the hymnbook, the congregation gets to experience the majesty of this celebratory hymn in a new and exciting way. The organist also has the option to play directly from the hymnbook.* Most hymnals that use the EASTER HYMN (Lyra Davidica) tune should work. Unfortunately, I cannot offer refunds so please confirm this arrangement will work with your church hymnal prior to your purchase by comparing it with the sample page I have provided as well as the audio and video samples below.
A zip file will be sent to you following your purchase which includes 3 files: the piano part(3 pages), the organ part with piano cues(4 pages), and the score(9 pages). The text is included in both the organ part and score.
You will be given a license to copy the score for the pianist, organist, and chorister, as well as the individual parts they will be using. If you need more copies than this, please purchase additional copies. This allows me to continue creating new music. Helpful hints: I recommend letting the congregation know there is an interlude between verses 2 and 3 so there are no unintended solos. 😉 Also, the chorister may want to use the organ part while conducting the congregation since it has fewer page turns.
*If the organist prefers to play from the hymn book rather than from the music I provide, they would need to utilize the transpose button for the 3rd verse.
